Our dog training experience dates
back to 1984, working with protection,
security, and K9 partners of Man-Dog
Patrol Teams. Over the years we've
sculpted our training principles into
the most effective and efficient
techniques suitable for training dogs of
all walks of life. We also broadened our scope of training
and services. Since we were already volunteering
on our personal time at
hospitals, schools and libraries with a
therapy dog team, we obtained
authorization to evaluate and certify Pet
Partners Therapy Dogs to ensure a smooth
process for those interested in therapy
dog training and certification.
Training working dogs is not our only
focus. If you're an owner who wants
a solid family companion, we specialize in helping you shape your dog into a well-rounded
and well-mannered social companion that is receptive to
learning from you. And,
since all dogs and owners are different, our experience in a wide range
of applications enables us to choose the techniques
and methods that are appropriate for
the goals you have for you and your best friend.
Depending upon your needs, we
can work with you and your buddy one-on-one
via our Phase Training program, you can drop
your pal off for Day Training or you can
enroll him or her in a
Board-and-Train Boot Camp.
We are also knowledgeable of the many
training tools available today, which is paramount
to proper training, as the incorrect application of
a training tool not only results in inefficient
training, it can also create problems, exacerbate
existing problem behaviors, and be detrimental to the bond
you have with your pal. If there's one thing
to take away from our website, it's this -
training tools should NEVER be used to
punish a dog. Regardless of the tool being
used at the moment, a training tool should
be used simply to get a dog's attention.
Once you have his/her attention, it is then
up to YOU to clearly communicate to the dog
in a way it clearly understands what it is
you are asking of it.
To help us determine
the most efficient training method and style for you
and your best friend, our initial
consultation takes
into consideration a variety of factors because,
believe it or not, even the type of food your dog
eats can play a key role in his or her learning
ability and can contribute to his or her mannerisms,
energy level and personality.
Over the years, we've
developed different and exciting
methods we can apply to help you achieve success in
your training. We've also
created tips, tricks and techniques that can help just
about any dog owner. We can even train you
remotely depending upon your particular needs.
